“The heart has its reasons, of which reason knows nothing. We feel this a thousand ways”

Hello, my name is Christopher

Twenty-three years ago, I left my life as a young farmer in Southwestern Ontario and moved to Toronto to study biology and philosophy. In the years since, I have found my life’s work: Bringing us closer to a more equitable and just world – a more compassionate and more humble world, a world where we live together in balance. Growing food, nurturing people, building community, sharing wisdom, healing hurt, fostering change. These are the things I live for.

Get in touch today to find out how I can help.

How to start…

Perhaps you have landed on this website because there is something specific that you are looking for. Use the menu above to jump directly to what you need: Individual Psychotherapy or Training/Workshops.

Not sure what you’re looking for? Explore the site and see what resonates for you. Then get in touch with questions. What you will find here are examples of ways I have helped others in the past. The thing I can help you with might be something else entirely. Say hello, and let’s see where a conversation might lead us.

“You can’t really change the heart without telling a story.”

Psychotherapy, sometimes called “talk therapy,” is a kind of psychological work that focuses on helping you develop awareness of your emotions, your ways of thinking, and your patterns of behaviour. When you want to change, we focus on what is keeping you stuck. When you are experiencing difficult or challenging situations, when you feel out-of-control, or when you are overcome with upsetting emotions, we work together to help you to better understand and manage these difficulties. When you are hurting, we work together to begin the process of healing.

“The opposite of courage in our society is not cowardice, it's conformity.”

— Rollo May, Man’s Search for Himself

I offer a variety of workshops and individualized training programs that can help you and your team grow. In the last decade, I have focused on building one-on-one trainings and group workshops that will help us learn to communicate more honestly and effectively, allowing us to engage in the world with greater self-awareness, patience, and compassion. This kind of training can reduce the amount of conflict, anxiety, disruption, and anger that you experience, both in the workplace and in the rest of your life.

“Leave the door open for the unknown, the door into the dark. That’s where the most important things come from, where you yourself came from, and where you will go.”
